The Arab library has a wealth of studies and literature that dealt with ascetic poetry in general, and especially in the Abbasid era, but despite their abundance, attention was rarely paid to the poetry uttered by ascetic poets, perhaps because some people imagine that the delicate nature of women may be incompatible with the austerity and hardship required by the current ascetic; hence, this study rose to take from their poetry on asceticism amaterial for objective and artistic analysis, in an attempt to explore the dimensions of the tributaries of asceticism among these poets, and to identify the reasons that led them to move away from the world and its pleasures.
