The study aimed to define the sterilization of people with mental disabilities, show the forms of sterilization, and the degrees of mental disability, and to arrive at the legal ruling to sterilize people with mental disabilities based on the opinions of jurists through their reasoning.

The study concluded that mental disability varies according to its effect on the nervous system, and that sterilization for people with mental disabilities may be permanent or temporary.

Scholars are agreed that permanent sterilization may not be performed except for necessity, as for temporary sterilization, it is permissible with conditions that must be observed according to the best opinion.

I recommended the necessity of taking measures to prevent diseases that lead to mental disability, and working to rehabilitate people with mental disabilities and integrate them into society.
