Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a program in geography based on Carin`s model for developing the concepts of the knowledge economy and the attitude towards it among a group of commercial technical school students.

materials of the study were : a checklist of knowledge economy concepts’, and the program based on Carin`s model.

whereas the tools were represented in : a knowledge economy concepts' test and an attitude questionnaire.

the study followed the experimental method and adopted “one group" design in which the two measurement tools were pre-tested.

then, the unit entitled "knowledge economy and its fields and foundations in Egypt" from the program was taught for a group of first-grade students (n = 36) enrolled at Esna technical commercial school for girls in Esna educational administration in the first semester of the year 2021-2022.

the two measurement tools were reapplied after the experiment.

results of the study indicated that there was a significant difference between the means of the scores of pre and post of both knowledge economy concepts test and the attitude questionnaire in favor of the post measurement, which indicates the effectiveness of a program based on Carin`s model for developing the concepts of the knowledge economy and the attitude towards it among the students of commercial technical schools.

based on the results, a number of suggestions and suggested researches were presented.
