they also worked to open up to countries with which there is an interest, or that have a neighborhood, so they established diplomatic relations with them, and concluded commercial treaties with them, and foreign trade flourished in consequence.

they were also keen on ensuring the safety of maritime transport and the protection of shipping lanes, and they were interested in traffic trade, which is one of the most important foreign trade activities, as large sums of taxes were imposed on the commercial goods transported through its lands to the state treasury.
