Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the nature of the relationship between stuttering and some psychological variables (self-confidence-self-esteem-self-motivation) and some social variables (social communication skills-empathy-social interaction) among adolescents who stutter in a group of schools of general and technical secondary education in the administration of Derb Najm in Sharkia governorate had a sample of (60) male and female students divided into (30) stuttering adolescents, and (30) ordinary adolescents, their ages ranged from (14-16) years, and with average intelligence, their IQ ranged between (90-110) on the Stanford scale, the fifth image is intertwined it also aims to know the differences between stuttering adolescents and normal adolescents in some psychological variables (self-confidence-self-esteem-self motivation) and some social variables (social communication skills-empathy-social interaction).

(prepared by: the researcher) and to verify the validity and reliability of the scale, the researchers applied it, and the results revealed that adolescents who stutter suffer from a significant deficiency in social communication skills, empathy and social interaction, a decrease in self-esteem, a lack of self motivation and poor self-confidence among adolescents who stutter more than their peers.
