Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the levels of emotional regulation in children with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder, to discover the relationship between emotional regulation and children with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder, to identify the differences between males and females in emotional regulation, and to identify the effect of children’s age on the scale of emotional regulation of children with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder.

the study sample consisted of (60) children with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder at the school of intellectual education in Zagazig.

their ages ranged between (6-12) years.

the researchers used the emotional regulation scale for children with intellectual disability, prepared by: prof, Iman Kashef (2019).

the results revealed the following: there are no differences between children with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder on the scale of emotional regulation, there are no differences attributable to each type (male / female) on the scale of emotional regulation, and there are no differences attributed to the age of children with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder on the scale of emotional regulation.
