Abstract EN

The current study aimed to develop logical and mathematical thinking skills in students with mathematical learning disabilities through a program based on theory of multiple intelligences.

the study sample consisted of (16) students from Abu Bakr al Siddik school in Hahya educational district, Sharkia governorate, aged (9-10) years with an average age (9.57) and a standard deviation (.49), their intelligence coefficients ranged between (90-110) who suffer from weakness in mathematical logical thinking skills, and they were divided into two groups (8) experimental students and (8) control ones.

the researcher used john raven's colored progressive matrices test (standardized by Emad Hassan, 2016), neurological rapid survey test (translated and standarized Andabd el-Wahab Kamel, 2007), diagnostic rating scale for individuals with mathematical learning disabilities (Fathi el-Zaiat, 2007), and logical reasoning test (prepared by Ahmed Fadl, said Abdel-Rahman, Abeer Abdel-Fattah), and the training program based on multiple intelligences theory (prepared by Ahmed Fadl, said Abdel-Rahman, Abeer Abdel-Fattah), the results of data analysis showed the effectiveness of the program based on multiple intelligences theory, that appeared in developing logical and mathematical thinking skills in experimental group.
