Abstract EN

This study aimed to diagnose developmental learning difficulties among kindergarten children in Ibb city to identify the prevalence of developmental learning difficulties and nature of these difficulties in terms of degree and type.

the study, also, aimed to identify the differences in developmental learning difficulties with respect to gender and age variables.

descriptive analytical method was adopted in the study.

the study administered on (441) children who are enrolled in Agyal al-Mithaq kindergarten and 22nd may kindergarten.

the researchers used Goddard intelligence test and the scale of developmental learning difficulties, which prepared by Adel Abdullah (2006), after examining its validity and reliability.

the data was analyzed using means, standard deviations, percentages and tests.

the results of diagnosis revealed that (102) children have developmental learning difficulties representing (23%) of the study population, and the degree of their developmental learning difficulties is moderate.

the results showed that thinking difficulties are the highest in terms of degree and type, whereas, cognitive difficulties are the lowest in terms of type.

the results, also, showed that there are no significant differences in developmental learning difficulties with respect to gender and age variables.
