Abstract EN

This paper aims to define the performance of the local administration, as a field for practicing public services and implementing the state's general policy.

In addition, the study focuses on local governance as a mechanism that is applied to local administration practices through standards based on it, such as transparency, accountability, rule of law and participation.

Through the diversity of its actors such as the private sector, civil society and local bodies, it can be an effective mechanism in combating corruption at the local level, as well as contributing to achieving local development at the lowest costs and in the shortest possible time.

And our desire to touch the effects of applying local governance on local administration, we infer some successful experiences as well as the reality of its practice in Algeria.
