Abstract EN

We conclude from the study of fertility measures in Maysan Governorate that there are temporal and spatial variations, as a decrease is observed in most of the measures during the studied period (1997-2019).

The crude birth rate decreased by (17) per thousand than it was in (1997), and the general population fertility rate recorded a decrease by (69.4) per thousand.

The age-specific fertility rate was the highest for the fourth pregnancy category (30-34) years in )1997 (, while we find the third group (25-29) years of pregnancy, the highest rate of specific age fertility, and the total fertility rate recorded a decrease of (3.3) per thousand, while the total reproduction rate was low with a difference of (1.1) births per woman going through a period Pregnancy.

From a study of fertility measures, it became clear that they differed between the districts (districts) in Maysan governorate, according to each measure that was studied.

Therefore, it can be said that these discrepancies in the measures came from several variables
