Abstract EN

The problem of this study focus on the semantic dimensions carried by the “Al-Salit News” program, in its treatment of various issues that were of a great concern to the Arab public opinion during 2021.

This study aimed to reveal the nature of the messages and contents provided by the program under study, and to know the attitudes and trends of communication towards the issues raised on the Arab and international arena.

In this study, we used the descriptive analytical method, relying on the content analysis tool, to reach in the end a set of results, the most important of which are that: The importance of political irony lies in being a weapon that destroys all pillars of weakness in society, and it is considered a challenge to the political and social reality, as it seeks to expose societies and regimes and highlights the shortcomings that the rulers ignore or disregard.
