Since the science of interpretation is concerned with clarifying the meanings of the Holy Quran, then many sciences share its foundation.

thus, being familiar with that meaning requires knowledge of everything that would constitute a solid pillar for the attainment of it.

among the sciences which contributed greatly to this meaning is the science of Quranic pause.

this later has an impact on the significance of Quranic verse.

a single verse may hold different meanings because of its connection, or of its separation from what precedes it, or what comes after it.

it may also differ because of the difference of verse syntax due mainly to Quranic pause.

accordingly, this study will focus on explaining the effect of this intervening factor in pushing interpreters to resort to it and apply it in their interpretations and establishing a fitting context for verses, besides taking into account the Quranic pause.

hence, al-Abbas al-Kawashi's interpretation of Holy Quran will be the topic of the study.
