Understanding investor sentiment in capital markets is important because of its role in asset pricing and financial decision-making, This study, therefore; tested the impact of investor sentiment on Saudi stock market index returns from 2012 to 2022, the single and multiple GARCH models were used on daily data, and the study found a negative and statistically significant dynamic conditional correlation between investor sentiment and volatility of Saudi stock market index returns.
