Abstract EN

We aim throughthispaper to try to determine the economiceffects of oilpriceshocks (continuouslyrisingoilprices) in rentier countries (whichdependheavily on oil revenues), by estimating the impact of priceshocks on somemacroeconomicindicators, namelyincome, budget deficit and inflationrate.

Wefoundthat the impact of oilpriceshocks on the mentionedindicatorsdiffersat the twolevels, the panel data, where a positive shock in oilpriceshad a positive effect on bothincome and the budget balance, and a negativeeffect on the inflation rate.

And at the individuallevel (Time Series), where the nature of (response to positive shock on oilprices) and the intensity (the ratio of the impact of price fluctuations on the situational fluctuations of the study variables) differbetweendifferentsample countries, using VAR models.
