Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدراسة الى تحديد درجة الوظائف التنفيذية للدماغ لدى الطلبة الموهوبين في مدارس الملك عبدالله الثاني للتميز و علاقة ذلك بمتغيرات (الجنس، و المرحلة الدراسية، و التقدير الدراسي، و مستوى تعليم الوالدين)، و تحقيقاً لهدف الدراسة تم تطوير مقياس الوظائف التنفيذية تكوّن من (27) فقرة مقسمة الى أربعة أبعاد، جرى التحقق من صدقه و ثباته، و تم تطبيقه على عينة تكونت من (177) طالباً و طالبة، و توصلت الدراسة الى أن درجة الوظائف التنفيذية للدماغ لدى الطلبة الموهوبين في مدارس الملك عبدالله الثاني للتميز جاءت متوسطة، و بمتوسط حسابي بلغ (3.32)، و أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05 ≥ α) تعزى لأثر متغير (التقدير) على درجة الوظائف التنفيذية للدماغ لدى الطلبة الموهوبين في بعدي (التقمص العاطفي، و التخطيط الاستراتيجي) في مدارس الملك عبدالله الثاني للتميز، و لصالح الطلبة من فئة التقدير (ممتاز)، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05 ≥ α) تعزى لأثر متغير مستوى تعليم الوالدين في بعد الدافعية و لصالح فئة الدراسات العليا، و أظهرت عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لأثر متغيري (الجنس، و المرحلة الدراسية) على درجة الوظائف التنفيذية للدماغ لدى الطلبة الموهوبين في مدارس الملك عبدالله الثاني للتميز، و في ضوء النتائج أوصت الدراسة بتوصيات، من أهمها : الاهتمام بالتدريبات التي تنمي الوظائف التنفيذية لدى الطلبة الموهوبين، و إعداد دورات تدريبية للمعلمين للتعريف بالوظائف التنفيذية و أهميتها في الكشف عن الطلبة الموهوبين.

English Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the degree of executive functions of the brain among the gifted students in King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence as well as the relationship of that with the variables of (Sex, academic stage, academic estimation, parent's educational qualification).

In order to achieve the study objectives, the scale of executive functions was developed; it consisted of (27) items divided to four dimensions and its validity and reliability were verified.

The study sample consisted of (177) male and female students.

The study results showed that the level of executive functions of the brain among the gifted students in King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence was medium, with a mean of (3.32).

The results also revealed that there are statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) attributed to the variable of (academic estimation) on the degree of executive functions of the brain among the gifted students in the dimensions of (empathy, strategic planning) in King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence in favor of the estimation of excellent.

The results also revealed that there are statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) attributed to the variable of parent's educational qualification regarding the dimension of motivation in favor of higher studies, while the results showed that there are no statistically significant differences attributed to the variables of (sex, academic stage) on the degree of executive functions of the brain among the gifted students in King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence.

In the light of the results, the study recommended the necessity of paying more attention to the training that promotes the executive functions among the gifted students as well as designing training courses for teachers in order to demonstrate the executive functions and their role in detecting the gifted students.
