The current research consists of four chapters.

The first chapter includes the problem of research, which is summarized as follows: - What are the types of building techniques and decorations for pottery works in the students of the Institute of Fine Arts? The importance of research and its need and the objective of the research is: to disclose the techniques of construction and decoration of pottery works in the output of students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.

The fourth chapter included the results of the research -Most of the students of the Institute of Fine Arts build their works according to the traditional building techniques.

The most important technique is construction with mud ropes as the easiest and most effective means of building the students.
