English Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the level of organizational Agility at Academic Leaderships of Kuwait University and its relation to Competitive Capability from the perspective of faculty members.

To achieve the objective of the study, a descriptive correlative approach was used, through the development of a questionnaire consisting of two fields : the first field about level of organizational agility, and the second field about competitiveness, and distributed to a sample of ( 405 ) faculty members at the University of Kuwait were selected by simple random method 6The study found that the level of organizational agility among the academic Leaderships in Kuwait University from the point of view of the faculty members were high, and there were no statistically significant differences on the Domains of the level of organizational agility attributed to the gender variable except the domain of regulations and instructions.

In favor of males.

There were no statistically significant differences attributed to the variable of the scientific rank and years of experience.

And the study found that the level of Competitive Capability in the Kuwait University was medium, and there were no statistically significant differences due to the gender variable in all Domains except the domain of creativity there favored females, and There are statistically significant differences due to the variable of the scientific rank and years of experience in all Domains and the tool as a whole, except for the Domains of creativity, flexibility and differentiation.

There are statistically significant positive and strong correlation between the areas of the level of organizational agility of the academic leaders at Kuwait University, and their competitiveness6 Based on the findings of the study, it recommended reconsidering the strategic planning in the university so as to discover the points ( strengths and weaknesses ) in its activities, and work to increase the delegation of powers to the deans and heads of departments in the university, and the university to adjust its strategies in accordance with environmental variables, External and internal, so that the University has mechanisms to ensure a rapid response to the choices of users of its services6
