English Abstract
The study aimed to determine the impact of using social media on attracting juveniles to delinquency and juvenile delinquency from the perspective of Qatari juvenile police personnel.
The study followed a descriptive and analytical approach.
The study was based on a questionnaire applied to 142 Qatari juvenile police personnel.
The study concluded that there is a statistically significant effect of using social media on attracting juveniles towards deviation from the point of view of Qatari juvenile police staff.
In the Qatari juvenile police, the study found that the most influential social networking sites on juvenile delinquency are Instagram, followed by Facebook, and in the third rank YouTube.
The study also found that there is a statistically significant differences at the level of significance ( 0.05≤α ) for the effect of using media social communication in attracting and delinquency of juveniles to deviate from the point of view of the staff of the Qatari juvenile police attributed to the scientific qualification for less than a bachelor, and in the light of the results of the study recommended several recommendations, most importantly sensitizing the parents of juveniles to the seriousness of social networking sites and their impact on juvenile delinquency through awareness leaflets and through different media.
