English Abstract

This study aimed at identify the degree of commitment of teachers of the schools of the State of Kuwait to the code of ethics from the point of view of their principals، the sample of the study consisted of ( 161 ) principals ( male and female ) they selected in stratified random method, and to achieve the objectives of the study a descriptive analytical approach used through develop a questionnaire consisting of ( 46 ) items were confirmed validity and reliability, the study used a range of statistical methods : arithmetic averages and standard deviations, multiple variance analysis, and Cronbach alpha.

The results of the study showed that the perceptions of the study sample to the degree of the commitment of teachers of schools in the State of Kuwait to the ethical charter came at a medium degree at macro and all fields level, the field of "Ethics towards the Director and Officials" ranked first, the second rank was "Ethics towards Parents", followed by the field of "Ethics towards Society", then the fourth rank came "Ethics towards Colleagues", and at the fifth and last rank "standards of the Ethical Charter for the Teaching Profession", and there are also no statistically significant differences in the estimates of the study sample of the degree of commitment of the teachers of the schools of the State of Kuwait to the ethical code attributed to variables ( gender, educational qualification, years of experience, and educational district ).

In the light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were proposed, including : The need to strengthen moral values through university curricula to prepare teachers appropriately, to better perform their future mission.
