English Abstract

This study aimed at identifing the relationship between degree of owning the skill of managing expectations by school teachers in Karak governorate and their relationship to job satisfaction.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the relational descriptive approach was followed, and questionnaire was developed consisting of (36) items then realbilaity and validity were calculated; the study population consisted of (2600) teachers (male and female).

The study sample consisted of (324) teachers, selected in sastified random method.

The results of the study showed that the perceptions of the study sample about the degree to which teachers of Karak Governorate schools owning the skill of managing expectations skill of managing expectations came to a moderate degree, and that the perceptions of the the study sample about job satisfaction came to a moderate degree, and that there is a statistically significant relationship between the skill of managing expectations with all its dimensions and job satisfaction with all its dimensions.

In the light of the study results, a number of recommendations were proposed, including: enhancing the skill level of expectations management for school teachers in Karak Governorate, through holding training courses and workshops to train them in anticipation in light of realism, communicating transparently, setting goals and desired results accurately, and selecting methods and methods clearly, and improve the level of job satisfaction among school teachers, because of its great importance in helping teachers implement the tasks assigned to them efficiently and effectively.
