He pushed many people to work in this lucrative profession, so many great merchants appeared in Baghdad, who became famous and their fame reached various parts of the world.

Although the merchants were distinguished for their creativity, mastery of their profession, and their great contributions to the development of the economy of the Abbasid state, and their commitment to commercial laws and their reliance on official bonds in commercial transactions, they faced many obstacles that hindered the movement of merchants and caused damage to them and their commercial goods, and among those obstacles The looting they were exposed to on the land road, and the piracy they were exposed to on the sea roads, as well as the natural obstacles represented by the rough roads, and the weather conditions, whether it was very hot or heavy rain.
