English Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the source of work stressors among school headmasters in Kuwait and their relationship with job satisfaction among them from their perspective.

The researchers used the comprehensive survey sample and the questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection.

The study sample consisted of (185) school managers in Al-Jahra' and Al-Farwaniyah governorates.

The results showed that there are sources of work stressors in all the domains among school managers in Al-Jahra' and Al-Farwaniyah governorates from their perspective.

The domain related to the relationship with students was in the first place, the domain related to the relationship with parents was in the second place, the domain of work load was in the fourth rank, the domain of the relationship with teachers, and finally the domain of role ambiguity the domain of role conflict.

The level of job satisfaction came as a medium degree at the macro level and in the fields.

The results also indicated a negative correlation between work stress in all its fields and job satisfaction in all its fields.

The results showed that there are statistically significant differences according to the domain of role ambiguity at a significance level less than (0.05) in favor of males, while there are no statistically significant differences in the other domains due to gender at a significance level more than (0.05).

The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences according to the domain of role ambiguity at a significance level less than (0.05) in favor of the academic qualification of (Bachelor degree ), while there are no statistically significant differences in the other domains due to academic qualification at a significance level of more than (0.05).

The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences attributed to age for the domains of work load, role ambiguity, the relationship with teachers and the relationship with parents.

The study recommended giving all the authority to the school manager in order to do his/her role well.
