Abstract EN
The current research aims to identify the level of Mind wandering among university students and to identify the level of academic performance among university students according to the variables of gender (males, females) and specialization (scientific, human).
The research sample consisted of (300) male and female students.
And he adopted the academic performance scale prepared by (Al-Rifai, 2019).
The researcher applied the two scales after verifying the validity and reliability of the basic research sample of Tikrit University students.
To treat the data statistically, the researcher used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program, and he used a number of statistical methods.
Such as the t-test for one sample, the t-test for two independent samples, the Pearson correlation coefficient, chi-square, and an equation.
The study concluded that university students have a high level of Mind wandering and there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members on the scale of mind wandering according to the gender variable in favor of males and according to the variable of specialization in favor of scientific specialization, the high level of academic performance among university students, there are no significant differences Statistical significance between the average scores of the sample members on the academic performance scale according to the gender variable, there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample members on the academic performance scale according to the specialization variable and in favor of the scientific specialization, there is an inverse correlation between Mind wandering and academic performance.
