The political discourse in Iraq is one of the means that expresses the directions and directions of political forces and movements, institutions and governmental authorities and people who assume political tasks, whether at the level of government or party agencies, regarding various issues, problems and events, including issues of national reconciliation and community peace.

Iraq's political discourse on these issues has witnessed a clear transformation, dictated by the recent developments and events in the Iraqi arena, as well as the general trends of Iraqi society towards the rejection of sectarian ideas and the retreat of the political forces that were adopting them.

In addition to that, the Iraqi political discourse was characterized by the difference between the government and the party during the previous stage regarding internal and external issues, and in many aspects it did not meet the requirements of the national interest and unity.
