This research is entitled: “The Effect of Diseases on Marriage Cancellation in the Islamic Jurisprudence and the Iraqi Civil Status Law” Islamic scholars have different views concerning the cancellation of marriage because of the chronic diseases.

Most of them have agreed upon one point which is the cancellation of marriage.

Although the case differs with the different types of diseases, and the difference is related to a flexible Judgment, (i.

e), there is no texts about this judgment.
