English Abstract

This study dealt with a contemporary and important issue concerning the proper commandment in the Jordanian Personal Status Law No.

( 36 ) of 2010, which discussed the concept of the obligatory will and its legal basis, its legal nature, the elements of the obligatory will, its conditions and its owners, The amount of due will in the Jordanian Personal Status Law.

The study was based on the comparative descriptive analytical approach.

One of the most important conclusions reached by the researcher is that the obligatory commandment is a will imposed by the Jordanian Personal Status Law and derives its power from it.

It is the basis of the inheritance.

This is evidenced by the fact that most of its rulings are taken from the will.

They are executed from one third of the estate, Presented to the optional will.
