English Abstract

This study aimed to identify the influence of the social, cultural, and economic changes on the increase of divorce rates in the Jordanian community from the perspective of legal lawyers.To achieve this objective, the study used the descriptive analysis.The study sample consisted of 130legal lawyers who were chosen using the intentional manner.The study concludedthat the social, cultural, and economic changes have a significant impact on the rise in divorce rates.

There are no statistically significant differences at the level of ( α≤0.05 ) in the sample estimates for the social variables due to demographic variables ( gender, age, social status, and income level ) ; there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance ( α≤0.05 ) in the estimates for the sample of the study sample in the cultural changes due to demographic variables ( age, scientific qualification, experience, social status, income level ) ; and there are no statistically significant differences at the level of ( α≤0.05 ) in the estimates for the sample of the study sample in the economic changes due to the demographic variables ( scientific qualification, experience, social status and income level ).

In light of these findings, the study recommended a number of recommendations, most notably: the need to hold courses and seminars to acquaint married couples with the risks of divorce and the negative sides resulting from it, especially for those who plan to get married.

It is crucial to design guidance programs to increase the awareness of married couples about the impact of social, cultural and economic changes on marital life and how to deal with these conditions and not to drift behind the negative changes that may lead to divorce.

These programs must range to economic, social and religious programs that confront marital problems and provoke wise behavior.
