Arabic Abstract

تعد حوادث المرور من الظواهر المرعبة التي أثرت على الأردن بشكل عام و محافظة الكرك بشكل خاص و أدت إلى إهدار المال و الأرواح.

إستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي معتمده على مجموعة من الأدوات العلمية و هي الإحصائيات للحوادث المرورية التي حدثت في محافظة الكرك و الإستبانة .

أجريت الدراسة على 150 سائق و سائقة مركبة لدراسة سلوك السائق و وعيه المروري، و أجريت ايضا على 40 مهندس و مهندسة من بلديات محافظة الكرك، و أجريت على 40 شرطي من دائرة السير في محافظة الكرك و على 40 مدرب من مراكز تدريب قيادة المركبات.

توصلت الدراسة إلى نتائج عديدة أهمها : لايوجد علاقة بين حوادث السير التي وقعت في محافظة الكرك و الطقس، حوادث الصدم هي الأعلى، و نسبة عالية من سائقي المركبات لا يستخدمون حزام الأمان و نسبة عالية من سائقي المركبات يستخدمون الهاتف النقال أثناء القيادة، و نسبة عالية من سائقي المركبات لا يعرفون أولويات و قواعد المرور على الطرق، و نسبة عالية من سائقي المركبات لا يعرفون إشارات المرور و أنواعها، و جميع الطرق في محافظة الكرك لا تتبع لأي أسلوب هندسي، و عدم كفاية الفحص النظري و العملي لأخذ الرخص بأنواعها.

بالإضافة الى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المتوسطات تبين أن المستوى التعليمي الإعدادي كانت متوسط إجابتهم نحو درجة وعي مستخدمي الطرق لعلامات المرور المرورية أعلى من فئة المؤهل العلمي ،( جامعي ثانوي أساسي، أمي )، و رخصة المحورين و عموم السيارات كانت متوسط إجابتهم نحو درجة وعي مستخدمي الطرق لعلامات المرور و السلامة المرورية أعلى من فئة العمومي و الخصوصي.

قدمت الدراسة مجموعة من التوصيات لتحسين السلامة على الطرق في محافظة الكرك من خلال تطبيق أدوات الإدارة المرورية في الهندسة و التعليم و الطوارىء و تنفيذ القوانين المرورية.

English Abstract

The traffic accidents are striking phenomena that have affected on Jordan in general and Karak governorate in particular.

They led to the waste of money and lives.

This study aimed to know the relationship between traffic accidents that occurred in Karak and weather, to know the highest type of accidents that occurred in Karak, to know the reasons that effect on the traffic accidents, to know the effect of demographic variables (gender, age, educational level and type of license) on the awareness of road users (drivers) for traffic signs and traffic safety and to know the traffic management tools that decrease traffic accidents in Karak.

This study used a descriptive analytical method based on a group of tools such as statistics for traffic accidents that occurred in Karak from the Traffic Department in Karak of and a special designed questionnaire.

This study conducted on 150 drivers to study the driver behavior and their traffic awareness, 50 engineers from Municipalities in Karak, 50 traffic officers from Traffic Department in Karak, 50 trainers from Driving Training schools in Karak.

The results showed that there is no relationship between traffic accidents and weather, crash accidents were the highest of other accidents, high percent of vehicle drivers in Karak are not using a seat belt, high percent of vehicle drivers in Karak are using mobile phone while driving, high percent of vehicle drivers in Karak don’t know the traffic priorities on the road, There are a high percentage of vehicle drivers in Karak don’t have the knowledge of types of traffic signs, All the geometric design in Karak is not following any engineering manner, theoretical examination and practical examination to get a license are not enough and the punishments are not deterrent.

Also, there are statistical function differences between averages, preparatory of educational level who was average their answers towards the awareness of road user for users for traffic signs is the highest of educational levels (graduate, secondary, illiterate) and Two axes license and General Auto who were average their answers towards the awareness of road users for traffic signs are the highest of the type of the license (Private and Public).

This study presented a group of recommendations to improve the safety on roads in Karak by applying the tools of traffic management in engineering, education, emergency, and enforcement.
