English Abstract

The study aims at explaining the influence of the religious factor in Israel on the success and failure of the government coalitions during the period (1948 - 2018).

The importance of the study in dealing with the nature of religious forces and currents within the Israeli political system and its emphasis on building the Israeli state and the decision-making process and its role in the failure and success of government coalitions, The study relied on the analytical descriptive approach, the method of systems analysis, decision making, and the historical approach in answering the main question : What is the role of the religious factor in Israel in the success and failure of government coalitions during the period 1948 - 2018? The results of the study confirm the role of the religious factor in Israel, which is represented by the various religious forces and currents in influencing through the process of forming the government and political decision-making and the attitudes, behavior and relations of the government in Israel.

The study recommended the need to intensify the Arab studies in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the elements of the Israeli political system in order to strengthen the Arab options in the face of Israel.
