Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to identify to what extent the dimensions of sustainable development are reached in companies in the Algerian tourism sector, as well as aspects to improve the capacities of these companies to adapt to the requirements of the development of sustainable tourism.

As a result analysis of (143) questionnaires distributed to a sample of managers and supervisors of the Algerian tourism sector, we found that they were very aware of the importance of realizing the dimensions of the development of a sustainable tourism as a precondition for continuity in an environment of international competitiveness.

To do this, Algerian companies must invest according to a balanced and responsible development that meets the needs of tourists in a rational way and takes into account the current and future impacts of their activities on development.
