Abstract EN

Most studies show the important role of the tourism sector in achieving economic growth.

it is a productive sector that affects all economic variables.

this study seeks to measure the impact of investment in tourism sectors on Algeria's economic growth during the period (2000 2019), drawing on the analytical descriptive curriculum that touched on tourism investment's relationship to economic growth.

in order to determine the causal link between the study variables in the long term, the VAR model was used, the study concluded that the volume of tourism investments was negatively associated with the economic growth rate ; there is no causal correlation between the two variables, and after analysis of the random shock response functions, the degree of response of both variables has been achieved since the first period, and there is no significant influence on the tourism sector's economic growth.
