Civil society organizations today in most countries of the world face serious threats, as the governments of many countries resort to more subtle methods in order to limit the work space of these organizations, especially those active in the field of supporting human rights and democracy.

on the other hand, there have been important international steps at the global and regional levels, to provide protection for these organizations and to confront this restriction on civil society, and calls for providing more enabling environments for these organizations.
