The city is a physical architecture that includes cultural, social and artistic components, and its presence in the ancient poetry of the Maghreb is a remarkable phenomenon that embodies the interactions that were known to the environment of Maghreb, and explains the relationship of the poet and the city and its position on it.

in spite of the frequent authorship of the Maghrebans in praising their cities, they wrote a satire, expressing personal experiences, chronicling themselves in their intertwined relations with the place, and the purpose of this research is limited to investigating the poems that were said in the spelling of cities and provinces, while examining the motives of this type of poetry and its contents and artistic characteristics.
