This research paper aimed to reveal the role of the textbook in the development of creative thinking among primary school students in the light of modern educational programs in Mostaganem state, (2018-2019), the main tool of the study was the Torrens scale of creative thinking.

the study sample consisted of third-year primary school students (n12), and the study reached the following results: the textbook has a role in the development of creative thinking among primary school students under modern educational programs; there is a statistically significant difference between the average grades of students before and after reading the textbook in creative thinking in favor of dimensional measurement; there is a statistically significant difference in creative thinking among primary school students due to the gender variable ..
