Abstract EN

The issue of employment has received the attention of the authorities since Algeria's resignation, and self-reforms in the early 1980s have not neglected this issue, giving priority to workers to buy their privatization institutions in order to maintain jobs.

the structural adjustment program (PAS) imposed on Algeria by international institutions (FMI-BIRD) in the mid-1990s, as a result of the external debt crisis, has been very harsh in its social aspects, particularly with regard to privatization and the resulting layoffs as well as strict restrictions on employment in government departments and institutions.

this situation has led the political authorities to ease restrictions by establishing several support bodies that have contributed to the creation of jobs to date, thereby reducing unemployment, particularly ANEM-ANSEJ-CNAC-ANGEM.

this paper presented the most important achievements of these bodies in the field of employment since its inception, but the shortcomings were greater, it was therefore suggested that more importance should be given to human resource formation, diversification of activities, promotion of value-added production units, support for women's projects and accompanying start-up entrepreneurs.
