Abstract EN

This Study aimed to identify the extent to which so¬cial work students are prepared to play the roles of a social respon¬sibility specialist, and whether social work departments in Saudi universities can, in turn, present their scientific and professional legacy to benefit the preparation of social workers armed with knowledge and skill to exercise their social responsibilities.

A num¬ber of results have been presented, some of which are: the concept of social responsibility among female social work Students has been clear.

It was also found that female social work Students at the sev¬enth and eighth levels had moderate knowledge of the roles of the social responsibility specialist.

Also, it was found out that there is an agreement among the participants in the four groups that there is no clear preparation for social work practitioners within the univer¬sity to practice social responsibility.

Also, all focus groups agreed that they did not receive any training workshops that reinforce their practice of the role of social responsibility specialist.

The Study rec¬ommended a number of recommendations, most notably: the need to develop academic curricula in social work departments in line with the rapid social progress and the social, economic and cultural problems that have emerged in the Saudi society, so as to help so¬cial work practitioners to exercise their roles as social responsibility specialists.
