Abstract EN

The Aim of the research was to identify the level and order of dimensions of psychological hardiness and emotional stability among a sample of adolescent amputees during the Syrian Crisis, and to examine the differences between them according to the two variables (sex and housing stability).

The sample includes (30) individuals from (11 to 15) chosen from (3 centers) for the rehabilitation of Pposthetic limbs in the governorates of (Damascus).

A scale was designed to include (60) items evenly distributed over (6) sub- dimensions.

The results showed that the dimension (adaptive responses) ranked first at thelhigh level , in the second (positive feeling) at medium level, in the third (follow- up to achievement) at low level, in the fourth (psychological hardiness and control) at low level, in the fifth (rational thinking) at a level (very low), and in the sixth and last place (emotional stability) at a level (very low).

The Results also showed the emergence of significant differences in the level of feeling psychological hardiness and emotional stability among the sample members of the adolescent amputees according to the scale designed in each sub-dimension and the total degree, depending on the gender variable was in favor of Males, and the variable of housing stability was in Favor of the non- displaced.

The results were interpreted in the Llght of the field reality and inn comparison with previous studies.

Finally a Set of recommendations was developed.
