The Arabian Gulf region is one of the most important areas of British influence due to the presence of oil in it, especially since it signed agreements with them that would not allow the entry or expansion of any country in the Gulf after 1892.

After World War II, serious attempts by the American colonialists began to control the Gulf and establish military bases that serve its interests, especially after the emergence of Iranian expansion by occupying the three Arab islands.

The end of the Saudi-Emirati conflict over the Buraimi oasis was under British auspices in order to control the resources of the Arabian Gulf.
