This study aims to design a program for guided imagination as an entry point for developing the visual image in the subject matter of drawing.

Help to raise the sense and artistic competence of secondary students in private schools in the city of Al-Mansour in Iraq.

To design a scale for judging artistic paintings and drawings that require a sense of beauty, using art materials, and making use of them correctly.

The research sample consisted of (122) male and female private secondary school students from Al-Mansour, Iraq, for the academic year (2021-2022).

The study sample was randomly selected, with directed imagination program was then applied.

The results indicated that the guided imagination program contributes to the development of the students' visualization.

Moreover, all the students benefited from the workshop.

Therefore, the study recommends expanding the use of this program in teaching art education (drawing) considering the needs of students in private schools in the city of Al-Mansour, Iraq, to improve their ability of imagination and to raise their artistic sense of beauty.
