Abstract EN

This research sheds light on the efficiency and distribution of the water and sanitationservices in the holy city of Karbala in the light of its space expansion and the effects ofthis expansion on the city and on those services due to their importance on the lives ofthe residents.

The researchers concluded that there is a clear deficit in those services andthere are neighborhoods that suffer from a severe lack of those services although theestablishment of these neighborhoods dates back many years ago.

Furthermore, thoseservices did not positively keep pace with the space expansion.
