The research sheds light on the topic of content management systems and the possibility of investing their features in creating a system for managing and archiving graduation projects for students of the information and libraries department at al-Mustansiriya University in order to provide a service to this department to control graduation research and identify the students' tendencies in choosing new non-repetitive topics.

the research aims to find out the way in which students' graduation projects are stored and to establish a computerized system to manage them, as well as to identify the importance of the computerized system in helping students to choose new topics to avoid repetition of previous graduation projects.

the applied approach was used to conduct this research, which reached a set of results, the most important is the lack of a mechanism by information and libraries department to organize the process of archiving, preserving and retrieving graduation projects to limit the repetition of titles of previously completed research, also the possibility of benefiting from the Drupal system for managing digital content by creating a digital database for research management for reference if there is a desire to know the titles that have been studied previously.

the research also made several recommendations, the most important is the importance of seeking to invest information technology applications and digital content management systems in the management of graduation research by investing the model that the research came with, another recommendation is the need for the support of senior management for archiving and preserving students’ graduation projects, also the importance of generalizing this experience to the rest departments and colleges.
