The Kurdish issue is one of the most issues threated to Turkish national security, and it is one of the biggest problems of internal pressure on the Turkish government, especially as Turkey suffers since August 1984 by armed Kurdish movement in the south-eastern regions mainly Kurdish.

The Kurdish problem is essentially an internal problem because of the low social and economic situation in the south-eastern provinces, has contributed to this region، in addition to the rise in the unemployment rate to 34% which leads to decline a revolutions in the late of 1990's in these provinces.

The successive Turkish governments since 1984 adopted the military option for the purpose of resolving this problem as a ( terrorism one) as perceived by the Turkish military.

Turkey has Associated with the problem of Kurdish and subsequent developments in northern Iraq after the crisis of the second Gulf War, as a major security problem for Turkey actuated involvement and interference in Iraqi affairs, it has sought to develop a multi-faceted over the Kurdish policy as part of moves to play a greater role in regional developments, both in northern Iraq or in the Middle East, but there is no doubt that the defeat of Iraq and change the balance of power in Turkey and its ambition to control the security, political and economic conditions in order to achieve their interests, are all factors behind Turkey's new policy on the Kurdish problem and what concerns us in this regard, and within the research period covered by the research, which is the Turkish military operations inside Iraqi territory after the second Gulf war, it must be noted here that the Iraqi government and the Turkish government has sealed a security pact called the hot chasing (hot) in October 1984 to monitor and control the border between the two countries, and ensure that each country carries out his part in achieving his duty.

They agreed to fight the Kurdish rebels, in a depth of 10 km inside the other country's borders.

Turkey has benefited from this agreement three times, during the processes that were carried out by Iraqi forces in September 1988 after the end of the war with Iran, in spite of that Iraq did not have any military operation inside Turkish territory during that period.
