Peaceful demonstrations are one of the emerging issues at the present time, and it is a means used by peoples to pressure and object to the policies of unjust governments and for all political, social, economic and other aspects.

The legality of going out and peaceful demonstration were emphasized by the Qur'anic texts and the practical Sunnah of the Noble Messenger Muhammad (may God bless him and his family) and the imams (peace be upon them).

Peaceful demonstrations are defined by conditions and controls that have been declared by the religious authority in Najaf through several letters, Some of them are what the people should abide by towards the state, citizens, and public and private property, and some of them are what the state should be obligated by towards peaceful demonstrators.

Perhaps the most important of them is not to highlight excessive violence, and to maintain the application of the law.
