Abstract EN

The current research aimed to identify the illusion of superiority among distinguished middle school students and their ordinary peers, and the differences are statistically significant according to the gender variable and their academic specialization (500).

the results of the research indicated that middle school students have a level of illusion of superiority and that they exaggerate themselves as well as dealing with their skills and abilities greater than they appear in reality and the use of cognitive biases.

the researcher recommended the importance of preparing programs and courses to introduce the illusion of excellence and its effects and how to help students in dealing with problems and with their abilities and capabilities and not exaggerating them more than they appear in reality because of the effects that this has on their lives, decisions and future.
