The cities of irrigation and irrigation occupied geographical, economic and political importance in their various historical stages, especially during the era of the Mongol IlKhanids(651-756H1253-1355M) as these two cities witnessed a great scientific prosperity in that era due to the interest of the Mongol IlKhans in scientific life and encouraging scholars disciplines in order to understand the importance of science and scholars.

In these two cities, several scholars have emerged whose specialties have varied and differed, especially in the field of Quranic science, interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence, language, history, wisdom, theology and Mysticism as well as other sciences.
