The rapid developments of the situation in Afghanistan have caused great interest to news websites all over the world.

These websites have covered the rapid events moment by moment; Given the importance of the topic in global international politics, in addition to its potential repercussions on the immediate future of the world and the region, CNN Arabic was chosen; Because it was one of the first press organizations that was interested in covering the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and the Taliban's control over the regime in the country, as well as the impact of its media coverage on local and international politics and its ability to create public opinion on the issues at hand.

The problem of this study is summed up in a main question: What are the contents of the news coverage on CNN in Arabic for the Taliban's control of the government in Afghanistan during the study period? Several sub-questions emerged from this question, in order to achieve the main objective of the study, which is to know how the news coverage on CNN in Arabic took place for the Taliban's control of the government in Afghanistan.

The content analysis tool was used to access the information; By analyzing the news content on CNN Arabic website related to the return of the Taliban to power in Afghanistan during the study period (430) news items.

This study reached a set of results, the most prominent of which was the site's focus on covering the Taliban's control of the regime in a large way, as well as the focus on the process of the American withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The study also showed the site's focus on the Afghan security situation, and it occupied the international position on the events in Afghanistan Fifth place in terms of interest.
