English Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of inclusion of ethical values in the Islamic education text book for the fourth grade of high school in the Republic of Iraq.

The Population and the sample of the study were taken from the Islamic education text book.

The researcher utilizes the descriptive analytical approach.

Using content analysis List, and Content analysis Card, after obtaining its validity and reliability, the frequencies and percentages were extracted.

The value of mutual respect between family members ranked first, while some values did not have any frequency such as visiting the sick, spreading greetings and good neighborliness, While the social field ranked first for the fields, and the environmental field came in last place, The Holy Qur'an subject ranked first for placements, and the stories of the Holy Qur’an ranked last.

The study recommends focusing on ethical values and their inclusion, because of their importance in developing students' abilities in order to prepare them for life and keep them abreast of the era of science and technology.
