Abstract EN

The gross domestic product and the general budget, especially the public spending aspect, are among the most important macroeconomic indicators for any country.

It is necessary to study the factors affecting these indicators, especially the exchange rates, due to the lack of clarity of the impact that fluctuations in exchange rates exert on the overall variables.

Therefore, the Iraqi economy, GDP and public spending were chosen, and the standard approach was used to highlight the impact that fluctuations in exchange rates have on the output.

Gross Domestic Product and Public Expenditure The study concluded that there is a strong inverse relationship between the change in exchange rates, GDP and public spending and vice versa
