The aim of the research is to determine the effectiveness of the hashtag during crises by employing it in the context of crises and increasing its use and exposure to the topics contained in the hashtag, in addition to knowing the negatives and positives of using the hashtag in the face of the crisis or its escalation.

As for the importance of the research, it is clear from the perception of the use of the hashtag as a strategy to enhance the vision and the symbolic power of information related to the event (the crisis), and knowing how the characteristics of the hashtag led to the spread of information during the social movement through social networking sites.
