Abstract EN

Abu al-Saud al-Emadi is a commentator of the tenth century AH and the author of "Irshad al- Aql al-Salim Ela Mazaya al-Kitab al-Karim" known as "Tafsir Abu al-Saud".

Like many other commentators, he has used various sciences such as rhetoric, morphology, syntax, vocabulary, etymology, the readings [of the Qur’an] and Arabic poetry to interpret the Qur'an in an argumentative manner.

This research aims to examine the methods of expression and reasoning in the above-mentioned interpretation through the method of reading the text based on description and analysis, and to find an answer to the question of what is the position of Arabic literature in the exegesis of Abu al- Saud.

The results of the research show that various literary sciences including vocabulary, morphology, syntax, semantics, expression of Arabic poetry, Hadith and theology have been used by the exegetist and he has used it a lot in explaining the verses, but because the commentator pays more attention to Arabic literature, his work is known as a literary and discretionary interpretation.
